Q. Will students/volunteers be required to provide their own housing?
A. Katrina On The Ground (KOTG) will provide housing for students and other volunteers who participate in KOTG.
Q. Will there be medical staff on site?
A. A medical doctor nurse will be provided for each city
Q. Are students responsible for securing their own transportation?
A. Students and volunteers are required to secure their transportation to New Orleans, LA. Once students arrive in Orleans, LA, KOTG will provide transportation around New Orleans.
Q. Will student advisors, parents, and/or friends be permitted to participate in KOTG?
A. KOTG is not limited to students. Advisors, parents, friends, non-students may participate. KOTG is dedicated to providing relief to Survivors by providing volunteer aid.
Q. Will students/volunteers be required to complete a medical form?
A. Students/volunteers will be required to complete a medical form indicating their current health status.
Q. Must students/volunteers make a time commitment to KOTG?
A. Students/volunteers should commit to at least one week of aid in the month of June (i.e., 6 days of aid and 1 day of travel), and are strongly encouraged to commit up to 4 weeks.
